A dozen House members claim new policies unlawfully block their ability to inspect immigration detention conditions.
A group of twelve members of the U.S. House of Representatives filed a lawsuit Wednesday in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), including Acting Director Todd M. Lyons and Secretary Kristi Noem.
The lawsuit alleges that new policies implemented by the agencies are unlawfully hindering congressional oversight visits to immigration detention facilities.
