RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Looking to save money while back-to-school shopping? Virginia's three-day tax holiday is on Friday. Here is all you need to know to cash in on some savings.

Virginia's three-day tax holiday will begin at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, and will end at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 3. During those three days, people can buy qualifying school supplies, clothing, hurricane and emergency preparedness items and more without paying sales tax.

According to the Virginia Department of Taxation, the following items are eligible to be purchased as part of the tax holiday: • School supplies, clothing and footwear Qualified school supplies -- $20 or less per item Qualified clothing and footwear -- $100 or less per item • Qualified school supplies -- $20 or less per item • Qua
