BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - A Local Alert Weather Day has been issue due to chances for isolated thunderstorms and heightened fire danger.

The Red Flag Warning is in effect until 11pm tonight as another round of storms brings the threat of abundant lightning and gusty winds. While storms may bring some rain, it’s often not enough to offset the fire danger.

In addition to this, there’s also a Flash Flood Watch in effect from 2pm to 11pm for the East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades. Areas that burned in a wildfire last year could see mud or rock slides during heavy rain. If you’re near one of those spots, be careful.

A stray shower could pop up on Friday following the past four days of storms, but any activity will be isolated. Temperatures will hover between the 70s to 80s for the next several
