ONTARIO, Ore. — The family of a 31-year-old Ontario mother is demanding answers months after her unexplained death, saying the investigation has been marked by silence, confusion and heartbreak.
Yvontey Castillo, a mother of four, was last seen on February 26 at a local park, where family members said she had been spending time with friends. She was later taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The Oregon State Police (OSP) is now handling the case, which is being treated as a death investigation.
But for Castillo’s sister, Iysha Castillo, that change has only deepened her grief.
“I want answers. I want to know what happened to her. She deserves justice,” Iysha said. “She was the only thing I had left.”
