CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio -- Pack a picnic and head to the park from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 9 for an afternoon of family fun at Veterans Legacy Woods.

A variety of indoor and outdoor activities are planned, including a monarch migration game, crafts, cart tours, meadow insect netting, a wildflower trail, a nature touch table and light refreshments.

Get in the game with bingo, held every half-hour from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

A pop-up nature store and gift shop will offer interesting items and feature the Geauga Park District’s new “outdoors & all yours” T-shirts for sale at $12 for sizes S-XL or $14 for size 2XL, while supplies last.

The Salute to Summer event is free to attend, with no registration required.
