More than 25,000 people are expected to attend the annual Dallas Mayor's Back to School Fair in Fair Park on Friday.

The Dallas Mayor’s Back to School Fair has been helping Dallas children in economically disadvantaged families start the school year with school supplies and the support they need to thrive for nearly three decades.

The event kicks off at 7:30 a.m. for families who registered beforehand.

Nearly 13,000 students from 5,800 families are expected to receive free school supplies, backpacks, and other services from nearly 200 vendors.
