TWIN FALLS, Idaho — The South Central Public Health District (SCPHD) will host multiple vaccination clinics throughout August to help students prepare for the upcoming school year.
The clinics, scheduled across six counties in southern Idaho, aim to ensure students have required immunizations before classes begin. SCPHD nurses will review vaccination records and administer needed vaccines for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
"Vaccine-preventable diseases have not gone away," said Melinda Bauman, registered nurse and SCPHD immunization coordinator. "Like eating healthy foods and exercising, immunizations play an important role in keeping us healthy."
The district accepts private insurance and Medicaid for vaccine costs. Uninsured families can access low-cost vaccination opt
