Ghislaine Maxwell, a former associate of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, has been moved from a federal prison in Florida to a federal prison camp in Texas. The Bureau of Prisons confirmed the transfer on Friday. Maxwell is now in custody at the Federal Prison Camp (FPC) Bryan in Bryan, Texas.

Maxwell had previously been held at FCI Tallahassee, a low-security facility in Florida. The reason for her transfer has not been disclosed. FPC Bryan is classified as a minimum-security camp exclusively for women.

The transfer follows a two-day meeting between Maxwell and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche in Tallahassee. During this meeting, her attorney stated that they discussed approximately 100 names linked to Epstein. This meeting occurred after the Trump administration indicated it would release more information regarding Epstein, who died by suicide in jail in 2019.

The Justice Department has not revealed any details about the information Maxwell provided during her nine-hour interview. Maxwell's attorney declined to comment on the recent transfer.

Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence for child sex trafficking and other related offenses. Her case has gained renewed attention following a joint memo from the Department of Justice and the FBI. This memo stated that a review of the Epstein case found no "incriminating client list," which has sparked criticism from some of President Donald Trump’s supporters who are demanding more transparency.

In light of the scrutiny surrounding her case, Maxwell has petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn her conviction. Her attorney has also mentioned that she would consider seeking a pardon from Trump, although the former president has stated he has not contemplated such an action.
