Britain is to send £1m of aid to help treat some of the thousands of Gazans medically evacuated due to the war with Israel.
The new funding will go to the World Health Organisation (WHO) in Egypt to assist Gazans who have either been wounded in the conflict or need treatment for existing conditions like cancer.
It comes as the UK continues to push Israel to let trucks carrying food and aid across the border from Jordan and to reach starving civilians in the Palestinian territory.
Aid minister Jenny Chapman said it was “unacceptable” that so much aid was waiting at the border.
