Strong May meals and occupancy numbers reported for Dare County

While data for the crucial summer months are not yet available, the Dare County occupancy and meals collection numbers for May 2025 show notable gains, driven by a major jump in occupancy dollars.

The May 2025 occupancy numbers came in at just under $68 million, up a whopping 18.4% from the May 2024 collections. That pushes the 2025 year-to-date gains up to 11.88% compared with the same five months last year.
