DES MOINES, Iowa -- If it wasn't for the smoke, we'd be loving it out there. Cool temperatures continue through the weekend.

The air quality will remain poor through Sunday morning, with an Air Quality alert in effect until 8 a.m. that day.

Conditions stay dry until Wednesday and Thursday. But rain chances those days aren't great, either. The lack of precipitation chances is reflected in the Weather Prediction Center's 7-day outlook.

We stay in the dry and comfortable category through about Tuesday, before the mugginess returns.

Highs for the next six days are above, and your WHO 13 7-day forecasts are below. The extended outlooks bring us back to above-average temperature conditions.
