Ford Motor Co. is recalling more than 312,000 vehicles over a defect that could cause drivers to lose power brake assistance while driving, potentially increasing stopping distances and crash risk.
The recall affects 2025 model year Ford F-150, Expedition, Bronco and Ranger trucks, as well as the Lincoln Navigator SUV. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced the recall Thursday.
The problem involves the Electronic Brake Booster module, which may malfunction and enter a "faulted state" while driving, according to Ford's recall report filed with federal regulators. When this happens, drivers lose brake boost until the vehicle is turned off and the system resets.
