JACKSONVILLE – As mock games go, this one was fun.
It absolutely had the head coach smiling.
Trevor Lawrence looked smooth and confident, Travis Hunter played both ways and the starters looked very much like starters in the Jaguars' 2025 Stadium Scrimmage in front of 11,000 inside EverBank Stadium Friday night.
"It wasn't perfect, but I thought it was a good start," Head Coach Liam Coen said.
Lawrence, entering his fifth season as the Jaguars' starting quarterback – his first in Coen’s offensive system – played extensively throughout the 81-play "mock game" and completed 19 of 27 passes for 241 yards with three touchdowns with an interception.
"I thought he played awesome," Coen said of Lawrence.
