HAMMONTON — A twin-engine plane made a rough landing at the town's municipal airport Monday afternoon due to a landing gear issue, the Federal Aviation Administration said.

The Piper Aerostar 600 landed at 12:25 p.m. with its landing gear retracted, the FAA said in a statement.

Only the pilot was onboard, but the agency didn't say whether they were injured.

The FAA is investigating.
