On Sunday, it emerged the Prime Minister would be recalling his most senior ministers from their summer breaks to meet, and sign off on, an urgent plan to recognise the state of Palestine.
His declaration on Tuesday, with its call for Israel “to end the appalling situation in Gaza”, had, a Cabinet minister told The i Paper, been “coming for some time”. But Starmer had to wait for all the international puzzle pieces to fall into place befo
