AUGUSTA, Maine — Grand juries in Cumberland County and Androscoggin County indicted two 18-year-olds and two minors in July for arson, burglary, and theft after a months-long, joint investigation between the state fire marshal, Yarmouth Police Department, and several other agencies, according to a news release from the marshal.
From November 2024 to March 2025, the fire marshal and Yarmouth police looked into a series of suspicious fires in Poland and Yarmouth with support from the Maine Forest Service, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
