BATAVIA, N.Y. — Western New York is in the dog days of summer, and for the Batavia Muckdogs, the season is as hot as ever.
The Muckdogs are set to face off against the Saugerties Stallions in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League Finals. Game 1 is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Saturday in Saugerties, N.Y. The teams will then take the series to Batavia to play Game 2 at 4 p.m. Sunday.
If a tiebreaker is necessary, the teams will take the field on the Muckdogs' home turf, Dwyer Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.

"This team, this city, these fans deserve a championship," Muckdogs owner Robbie Nichols said in a statement.
The team last made the PGCBL finals in 2022, where they lost to the Amsterdam Mohawks.
