INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after a man was killed in a shooting Saturday afternoon on Indy's northwest side.

According to IMPD, around 5:30 p.m. Aug. 2, officers were called to the Family Dollar store located in the 6000 block of Michigan Road , near West 60th Street, on a report of a person shot. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot outside the front entrance to the store.

That man, identified Aug. 4 by the Marion County Coroner's Office as 19-year-old Scott Anthony Foor Jr., was pronounced dead at the scene.

IMPD Ofc. Drew Brown said police believe the incident started inside the store as a disturbance between multiple people. At some point during that disturbance, police say shots rang out.
