NEWNAN, Ga. — The state ethics commission has filed a complaint against an ultraconservative political organization connected with a failed loan company. The state says the group, the Georgia Republican Assembly (GRA), broke state laws by failing to register and file required financial disclosures.
The GRA has the same address as First Liberty Building and Loan, an easy-to-overlook storefront in downtown Newnan now locked up by federal regulators, with a warning posted on the door.
On conservative media, Coweta County Republican Party chairman Brant Frost IV. touted First Liberty as an investment site for patriots.
"For folks in the patriot economy we’re advertising this across the country," Frost told "Real America Voice" in a video posted to Youtube.
