CADDO PARISH, La. (KSLA) - During an investigation into a reported rape, a young child was found lifeless and in a life-threatening condition.

On August 2, just before 2 a.m., the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of a sexual assault on Farmridge Road. Upon arrival, deputies found a young child, who had been sexually assaulted and was lying unresponsive, nearly lifeless, at the house.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

During the investigation, Lucas Logan, 31, was identified and taken into custody. Logan has been charged with first-degree rape and attempted first-degree murder.

Logan has been booked into Caddo Correctional Center.
