RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - A 71-year-old Chicago man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle on Interstate 90, three miles east of Chamberlain Friday afternoon.

The man’s name won’t be released until his family is notified.

A release from the Department of Public Safety states that preliminary crash information indicates the 2014 Harley-Davidson FLHTCU rider was traveling west on I-90 when the bike began wobbling and then went down and into a ditch.

The rider was taken to Chamberlain Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
