(FOX40.COM) — A suspect died Sunday morning after falling from a sixth-floor balcony after breaking into a business, according to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District and Sacramento County Sheriff's Office.
Metro Fire said crews responded to an internal alarm around 2:37 a.m. at a business on 1750 Howe Avenue.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said the man fell from the sixth-floor balcony, shortly after they arrived to assist fire crews, just before 3 a.m.
According to fire officials, crews provided life support care and transported the suspect to the hospital.
SCSO stated that the suspect allegedly broke into the business and caused over $100,000 in damage.
The person then pulled the fire alarm, forced entry onto a balcony and fell after climbing on the railing.
