In preparation for the expected flood of visitors during major events in 2026—including the U.S. Semiquincentennial—the Tri-State African American Chamber of Commerce is stepping up efforts to spotlight Black-owned businesses. In Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, hundreds of minority entrepreneurs are being given new platforms to market their products and services to tourists. Workshops, funding access, and cultural showcases are being organized to make sure Black voices are front and center in the economic boom. With billions projected in tourism revenue, this is being called a make-or-break moment for generational wealth creation among African Americans in the region.
