FORT WAYNE, Ind. — The Fort Wayne Police Department says it has made an additional arrest into its ongoing investigation into an alleged dogfighting operation.
On Tuesday, July 29, FWPD officers served three search warrants at different locations in relation to a nearly six-month investigation into an alleged dogfighting operation.
Humane World for Animals, formerly known as the Humane Society of the United States, assisted FWPD in rescuing 22 dogs.
During the initial search warrant, a man was arrested on two preliminary felony charges of purchasing or possession of an animal for fighting. He faces 10 counts of purchasing or possessing an animal for fighting and one count of possession of animal fighting paraphernalia.
