BRISTOL, Tenn. (Atlanta News First) - Despite numerous rain-induced pregame festivities including concerts from Jake Owen, Tim McGraw and Pitbull, Saturday’s MLB Speedway Classic between the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds was postponed due to inclement weather at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The game will resume Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Speedway Classic was supposed to begin around 7:25 p.m., but rain started to come down right after the national anthem and the game’s first pitch from MLB legends Chipper Jones and Johnny Bench.

First pitch winded up being at 9:40 p.m., but the game entered another delay just 20 minutes later during the bottom of the first inning after the rain picked back up.

The tarp went back out on the field and the umpires called the game.
