CUMBERLAND, Ind. — Police in Cumberland are investigating after a juvenile was shot Sunday afternoon.

According to Cumberland Metropolitan Police Department Det. Sgt. Mark Waggoner, just before 4 p.m. Aug. 3, officers were called to the 800 block of Coolee Lane , near 10th and North Muessling streets, on a report of a person shot.

When officers arrived, they reportedly found a juvenile male who had been shot in the leg. The juvenile was taken to an area hospital in stable condition with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

Police also say at least two younger juveniles were in the home during the shooting, but adults were not. Police do not believe the shooting was self-inflicted, but at this time they do not have any suspects.
