PITTSFORD, N.Y. — While there important injury updates, both positive and negative, for the Bills on Sunday in Pittsford, one player who missed practice not through injury takes the top headline in observations from Day 8 of Bills training camp:

Cook brings back spotlight to contract status

Before the start of practice Sunday, Sean McDermott provided an update on a long injury report for the Bills.

James Cook was not on that list, and yet, when the team began practice, Cook was not out on the field .

Instead, the running back was off to the side, watching is street clothes before heading over to the bike to do work alongside some of the injured players on the team.

Cook then was asked after why he didn't participate, telling ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg the reason was "business."
