Ministers have confirmed that the UK will soon begin evacuating seriously ill and injured children from Gaza to receive NHS care.
The scheme, set to be announced within weeks, follows months of pressure from campaigners , charities and MPs urging ministers to act as conditions in Gaza deteriorate.

Children from Gaza requiring urgent medical care could be flown to the UK in the coming weeks under a new government initiative. According to The Sunday Times , each child will be accompanied by a parent or guardian, with siblings allowed in some cases.
The initiative, which has not yet been formally announced, would prioritise sick and injured children for whom NHS treatment is deemed “the best option”
