EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — A woman is facing multiple animal neglect charges after authorities discovered 24 dogs in unsafe conditions.

Police executed a search warrant on East Blackford Avenue Sunday, following a request from animal control.

Officers arrived at the scene and made contact with the homeowner, Ann Maasberg.

The dogs, including several puppies, were found living in unsafe conditions without access to food, water, or shade, police said.

Maasberg has been charged with 24 counts of animal neglect.
