People over 60 could slow mental decline with three cups a day, study finds

Scientists have uncovered a surprising connection between cognitive decline and how much tea or coffee people drink every day after turning 60. They marked out a sweet spot of around three cups of either tea or coffee to keep your memory and reasoning skills sharp.

But they also found that drinking more than four cups of coffee per day was linked to worse results. Meanwhile, people who drank tea actually had worse results at the very start of the study, even though they had a slower decline as well.
