A Vermont man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly crashed into a police cruiser and then sped off with a child in the back seat on Sunday morning.

Vermont State Police said they received a 911 call shortly after 11 a.m. Sunday about a citizen dispute in the area of Tyler Branch Road in Enosburgh. A man had allegedly taken his young child from his wife and left her on the side of the road without a ride.

State police troopers made contact with the man, identified as 35-year-old Tyler Andersen, of Sheldon, who agreed to meet at the state police barracks in St. Albans for follow up regarding his welfare and the welfare of his child.
