LAKE CITY, S.C. (WBTW) -- South Carolina authorities have charged a 37-year-old Lake City man with stalking.
William Justin Sims was arrested on Thursday by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and booked into the Florence County Detention Center. He remains in jail without bond, according to online records.
The stalking charge follows his arrest on a second-degree harassment charge in September.
According to an arrest warrant provided to News13 by SLED, Sims placed Apple AirTag devices on a victim's car and in their purse on Sept. 16. He then sent them an expletive-filled text message on Oct. 1.
He was not allowed to have contact with the victim or their family by "telephone, third party, or social media," according to the conditions of his bond, the warrant said.
