(WHTM) — Kia America has issued two recalls affecting over 300,000 vehicles due to a potential crash hazard.

According to notices published by the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration, two recalls were recently issued due to trim pieces that may detach.

More than 200,000 Kia Telluride vehicles manufactured from 2023-2025 may have a door belt molding trim that can detach.

Additionally, more than 100,000 Kia K5 vehicles manufactured from 2023-2025 have rear window trim pieces that may detach.

The NHTSA notice says the potential for trim pieces to become loose and detach may increase the risk of a crash.

Notification letters will be sent to both Telluride and K5 owners in September for free repairs.
