Kia has issued two recalls within a week for more than 300,000 of its vehicles due to loose parts.
According to two separate notices from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the recall affects 201,149 2023 to 2025 Telluride models over faulty door belt moldings and 100,063 2023 to 2025 K5 models over window trim detachment issues.
The Telluride models may experience loosening and eventual detachment of their door belt molding trims, which is the long, narrow strip located along the top edge of the vehicle’s door where the glass window meets the metal frame of the door.
K5 models may also face the same issue with their C-pillar garnish face plates, which are the decorative panels located near the left and right rear windows.
In an additional notice, Kia said the
