Ice-T , the acclaimed rapper and longtime star of Law & Order: SVU , is hosting a new project for A&E that will provide an "unflinching look at the national epidemic."

The two-hour special is called Fame and Fentanyl, and it is scheduled to premiere on Monday, August 25, the network announced on August 4.

Fame and Fentanyl is "a new gripping two-hour documentary special, exposing the devastating impact of fentanyl on our society and culture. Hosted by Ice-T, the special offers a raw and unfiltered look at the deadly drug that has claimed the lives of many," according to the press release.
