NEWARK - Investigators have identified the man who was shot by police during a standoff with law enforcement last week in Newark, where he allegedly used a child as a shield.
Shaquan Landrum, 34, of Hillside was charged by the Essex County Prosecutor's Office with attempted murder, attempt to cause serious bodily injury with a deadly weapon, possession of an assault firearm, possession of a privately made firearm without a serial number (commonly referred to as a ghost gun), endangering the welfare of a child, and other offenses.
