BRIDGEWATER - The 26-year-old Somerville man who had all the right answers during a 16-game winning streak on the Jeopardy! TV game show last month threw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the Somerset Patriots' game at TD Bank Ballpark on Thursday night.
Scott Riccardi, a 2021 graduate, proudly wore a Rutgers University School of Engineering T-shirt for his special appearance at the ballpark.
As each Jeopardy! episode concluded with Riccardi coming out on top, his legend quickly grew with Jeopardy! fans - as did his bankroll.
By the time his three-week win streak ended on July 25th, Riccardi had wracked up $455,000 in winnings, becoming the biggest cash-earner and longest-running contestant of the popular game show's 41st season.
