BUFFALO, N.Y. — A California man has been arrested and charged with making fake IDs for DoorDash drivers.

U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo says 34-year-old Miguel Angel Guevara-Murillo was encountered at the Rainbow Bridge Port of Entry in Niagara Falls after making a wrong turn from the United States. Guevara-Murillo and a passenger allegedly handed over Colombian passports to the Customs and Border Protection Officer.

The vehicle was then referred to secondary inspection, where officers later discovered Guevara-Murillo is a citizen of Colombia who entered the U.S. without inspection in 2022, served an appearance ticket, and was released on parole.

When officers searched the vehicle, they found a counterfeit California driver's license with Guevara-Murillo's photo and the name of Sean P
