LEWES – Beebe Healthcare is embarking on a new journey as it works to expand its cardiology offerings in Sussex County.

The nonprofit organization announced its new Cardiovascular Institute in July with leaders seeking to provide an integrated, evidence-based team model to continue connecting patients with expert clinicians, according to a press release.

Beebe Senior Vice President and Chief Physician Executive Dr. Paul Sierzenski said while the plan doesn’t include an additional facility at this time, the designation as an institute will help streamline the process for patients seeking heart-related care.
