ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - Several people have been arrested following an investigation by the Rapides Area Drug Enforcement (RADE), according to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Community members had been making complaints about drug activity in the 2000 block of Levin Street. RPSO said the address had been searched back in 2024 when a suspect, Markari Cotton, sold marijuana to an undercover police officer. Cotton was placed on two years of supervised probation through the Offices of Louisiana State Probation and Parole.

On August 1, 2025, RADE agents searched the home and found five adults and several juveniles. It was learned that Cotton had just been placed in custody by his Probation Officer for violating his probation conditions that morning. The juveniles were released to a fam
