A production manager at Jacob’s Pillow, a dance venue in the Berkshires, was killed Friday afternoon after being run over and crushed in a workplace accident, according to law enforcement.

Kathryn Sirico, 40, of Rochester, N.Y., died while moving a dolly carrying staging platforms across the Jacob’s Pillow property, the Berkshires District Attorney’s Office said in a statement Saturday morning.

As Sirico and an intern at Jacob’s Pillow were transporting the platforms early Friday afternoon, the pair lost control of the dolly, according to the DA’s statement. Sirico tried to regain control of the dolly, but tripped and fell. The dolly ran over Sirico and the platforms fell from the dolly, landing on them.
