CHENEYVILLE, La. (KALB) - Thirteen people have been arrested in connection with the shooting that happened near Cheneyville Town Hall on June 6, according to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office.

RPSO said the shooting happened during a remembrance event and left five people injured. Deputies discovered over 100 bullet shell casings at the scene and found four cars riddled with bullet holes.
After further investigation, officials determined that the shooting took place after two sets of people crossed paths and opened fire at each other.
RPSO was able to identify and arrest the first suspect, Kyjuwon Jones , 24, of Cheneyville, on Sunday, June 8. He was charged with the following:
Six counts of attempted second-degree
