The Saugerties Stallions secured their second Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL) title in franchise history after defeating the Batavia Muckdogs 10-6 in a marathon 17-inning contest at Dwyer Stadium on Sunday, August 3. The Stallions, champions of the East Division and seeded second overall, swept the top-seeded Muckdogs in the best-of-three Championship Series. They had already claimed Game 1 decisively with a 9-2 win at home on Saturday.

Sunday’s title-clinching game was a test of endurance and resilience. After trailing 5-3 since the fourth inning, Saugerties tied the game in the eighth on a clutch two-out single from Casey Cumiskey. The deadlock held for eight more innings, thanks in large part to stellar bullpen work from John Hacker, Mason Weaver, and Matthew Murtagh. H
