TRUSSVILLE, Ala. (WIAT) -- Six men were arrested in a Trussville anti-human trafficking and child sex exploitation operation last week.
According to Lt. Clint Riner with the Trussville Police Department, the six men targeted and solicited who they believed was a child 15 years old or younger. They were, however, in communication with undercover law enforcement officers.
Riner stated the predators discovered the undercover investigators through social media platforms and websites. The suspects allegedly agreed to pay to engage in sexual acts with children.
The men traveled to locations across Trussville, where undercover investigators took them into custody. The police department's criminal investigations and special operations division worked with the Covenant Rescue Group, a nonprofit,
