Juneau — Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy has issued two sweeping administrative orders aimed at overhauling the way Alaska’s executive branch operates, pledging to rein in state spending and reduce regulatory burdens that he says stifle economic growth.

The first order, Administrative Order 359, establishes an annual Government Efficiency Review, led by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). The review mandates a top-to-bottom assessment of all executive branch agencies to identify cost-saving measures, modernize outdated processes, and ensure public funds are used efficiently.
