WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The family of Kelsea Perkins, 23, has identified her as one of the three victims killed in a shooting on Cameron Avenue in Winston-Salem.

Perkins was one of three young people shot and killed in what authorities have described as a violent weekend in the city. Her family confirmed her identity and shared a statement reflecting on her life.

“My sister was so loved by anyone she came in contact with,” the family said. “She was kind and genuine. Her smile could light up any room. She was confident and pursued her dreams and goals. She will be deeply missed.”
