RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — A 52-year-old Archdale man, an accused repeat offender, faces five counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor , according to the Invictus Task Force. Court documents show he was also charged with two counts of felony probation violation.
The charges come after an investigation that began in early August, following a service call that led authorities to suspect Gary Shipwash. Court document state he was in possession of graphic photos of a girl between 8 and 10 years old.
On Wednesday, investigators executed a search warrant and arrested Shipwash, who was taken to the Randolph County Detention Center. A magistrate set his bond at $200,000 secured. Court documents show he posted his bond on Thursday.
Last year on August 15, Shipwash was arrested with
