BURLEY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Burley Theatre has been getting a new face-lift the past few months to welcome a new era.
Downtown Burley first welcomed the theatre in 1914, and since then, it has been a fan favorite. Many have watched movies or seen their kids perform on that stage.
Kim Talbot, a Mount Harrison Heritage Foundation board member, grew up working at the theater.
“My family owned this theater for over 100 years and we realized that it’s just not viable this community to have another movie theater,” she said.
Talbot’s family decided to sell the theater to the Mount Harrison Heritage Foundation for several reasons, the main one being its potential impact on the community.
