MURRAY — Kentucky Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman visited several places throughout western Kentucky late last week.

However, one of her most enjoyable experiences came Friday afternoon in Murray. That was when she was able to engage in one of the most fun parts of her job, announcing that projects are being funded.

And the giant check brought to Murray City Hall that was going to a new kitchen setup at the Murray-Calloway County Senior Citizens Center was a hefty one — worth $750,000 though a Community Development Block Grant. Not only will this help in expanding a kitchen that is being pushed to its limits every week, it also will go toward an emergency generator.
