INDIANAPOLIS – A pair of nonstop flights debut this month at Indianapolis International Airport.

Starting Tuesday (Aug. 5), Southwest Airlines will operate a twice daily, year-round, flight from Indianapolis to Chicago Midway International Airport.

The route will give travelers another option bound for the Windy City.

"The Midway route gives Hoosier travelers more regional access, and more flexibility when flying into Chicago," said Mario Rodriguez, executive director of the Indianapolis Airport Authority. "This route is also going to serve both business and leisure travel with more convenience, access and connectivity across the country and beyond."

The route joins other nonstop Southwest flights from Indy to Atlanta, Austin, Nashville, Baltimore, Cancun, Dallas, Denver, Panama City,
